This seminar is a program based on the rules of the social tango dance. That means that we’ll study here all that we believe is necessary for a good dancing in a reasonably crowded “milonga”. There is a particular embrace, the sort of steps which are manageable in confinded spaces with lots of rhythm and a high level of concentration on the music and on the partner.

In this seminar, we'll work on a very subtle technique through the upper body turns that permit the control of the space and the movement in all directions, keeping the minimum distance between the couple. We also work here on the attitude that has a great influence on the dance result and takes a basic role in the milonga context where the social meeting is the regular situation.

Another important element in this sphere is the particular use of the memory that evokes the “reaction at the moment”; we look forward to mobilizing the improvisation through the use of small modules or short sequences, conveniently organized, and very useful to easily solve the dance. We will also include in the program some quotes about historic aspects of the tango dance which are the connection that brought us to what the Tango Milonguero is today.

Two classes in the morning (begin 11 am), followed by a lunch break at 1 pm, followed by two classes in the afternoon (begin 2 pm).
